DAYS OF OUR LIVES CONTINUE IN AUSTRALIA

In the mid-August 2013, we returned to Australia with a warm welcome of flowering weeds.....  some weeds almost strangled our newly planted Gardenia flowers and English box hedge plants.... due to extreme winter, our Caravan cover was damaged beyond repair and the car was also tainted by bird droppings....  and the pipes in the kitchen sink were leaking and have to be replaced.....

In the next few days after arrival, we enjoyed harvesting some chillies and snow peas....   mowing lawns and clearing unwanted weeds were done with patient....   we also cleared some area near the grapes to park our blue trailer.... and we continued our hobby in planting vegetables, some using old seeds from Darwin....

We visited our Bruneian friends, Haji Mohidin (from Prime Minister's Office) and his lovely wife, Hjh Marsita (a Ph D student here in Melbourne) at their residence in Preston for their Eid Mubarak open house....   Byrdy and his son-in-law, Ivan came over to our house for an afternoon tea....   and, wanting to learn more about gardening, Hj Mohidin and Hjh Marsita came over to see our small garden and later we had picnic at the Greenvale Reservoir Park.....

The fruits of our loquat tree should be ready to be eaten in 2 months time....  we planted zucchini, lettuce, hedge plants, bakchoi, and replanted strawberries and pineapples...  we extended the grape area.... and the blossoms started to appear as the Spring approaches.....

We visited Phillip Island and stayed there for 2 nights at the Beach Park for $80.00....    we were there to give moral support to our son, Akustiman participating in the TOUGH MUDDER Event for the second time....   in the morning before the Event, we went fishing at the Cowes Jetty (no luck in getting the fish), and also visited the surfing site....  in the afternoon, we have to park our car several kilometres away from the Event....

We have installed a 4mX5m Shade Sail adjoining the garage so that 2 cars could have a shaded area to park....

After a long break from serious fishing, we went back to it several times again at our favourite place, Barwon River, two-hour slow drive from our home....   and we also went sightseeing around the place.....  we stayed at Barwon Heads Caravan Park and later at Ocean Grove Caravan Park.....
