DAYS OF OUR LIVES CONTINUE IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

After that very enjoyable fishing holidays in Australia, we came home in Brunei Darussalam in late October 2014..... we routinely inspected the areas around the house and noted that there were not much changes from the previous visits....

As usual we also visited Miri of Malaysia to relax and do a bit of shopping....  we normally stayed at Meritz Hotel and shopped at Parkson of Bintang Palaza, Boulevard at Imperial Hotel and new Boulevard....

During this visit we were a bit disappointed to see our bird collection has reduced in numbers due to the bad weather and  lack of understanding of the gardener/keeper how to look after them....  the fruits were not flowering and fruiting as they used to be due to continuous wet days....   and the vegetables too were not maintained properly unlike before.....

After almost a decade not visiting the Betumpu Agricultural Development Area, the first site for commercial agriculture in the country,  we were able to have a look at the run down vegetable and palms projects which we used to own but now taken over by relatives and business friend....

During our shorten visit to our home sweet home at Bukit Tajau (paying B$240 for earlier return date to Melbourne), we were invited by our sister/sister-in-law Hjh Rohani at her residence in Kampong Masin for a thanks-giving dinner....   we have also attended a dinner at our brother/brother-in-law Hj Othman house in Kampong Sungai Tampoi....  and we have lunches with sister Hjh Nilam and niece Jasni, and  also with Datin's brothers, sisters and in-laws....
