In the later part of January 2013, we safely arrived in Brunei Darussalam after a smooth flight via Doha and Kuala Lumpur, missing our little Ayden of course.... we came back to enjoy our favourite food of Hokien chicken rice, curry laksa, Indian murtabak with curry fish and also curry fishhead..... our relatives came over for lunch and enjoyed getting together again.... the only sad news was that our library cum storeroom was attacked by white ants or termites but fortunately our house maid noticed earlier the small damage, and managed to clean up and putting insecticide over the area... the new verandah was almost complete except for the tiling.... in most afternoons after walking and exercising around the compound, we relaxed outside the house, enjoying our longans and fresh coconut juices..... we were happy to note that the Malay buyer was really serious at purchasing Datin's new detached house at 250k.... overall, we were happy to leave our home for the Melbourne holidays that day when once a year mushroom called Kulat Tahun appeared again, the birds were free to roam and fly away and came back in the evening, and also that the longan and mango trees were flowering again....
