DAYS OF OUR LIVES CONTINUE IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

After a wonderful holiday in Australia fishing and gardening, we came home in Brunei Darussalam in early October 2015 for a short stay before we went on another holiday trip to France to be with our two grandsons....  the first thing to do at home was to check the nests of the two stingless bees species,  Itama and Toma....  then four more nests, 2 on the cemented areas, 1 on pulasan tree and 1 on rambutan tree,  were added to the collection....  sadly, the $330-Toma stingless bees have moved away and the nest became empty....

After checking the bees,  the fruit trees were in the late stages of fruiting, although some of them were in the process of flowering....   in fact the longan tree was having fruits and flowers of various ages, which was a bit abnormal...

When the water meter was read out of curiosity,  it was a real shock to learn that the reading was extremely high almost a 100 times the monthly average...   what happen was the pipe outside the property but after the meter was broken and bursting....  and it was immediately reported via email to the authority....

Our short stay was not complete if there was no gathering with relatives and friends....   before we left home for France via Geneva,  another reunion with some of the ExHostel Boys Group was held at a restaurant in Jerudong...   it was indeed a pleasure to meet more than 40 old friends again....
